Ingredients
- Liquid Eggs: 1 carton (250 ml)
- Milk: ½ cup (125 ml)
- Maple syrup: 1 tbsp (15 ml)
- Cinnamon: ¾ tsp (4 ml)
- Ginger: ¾ tsp (4 ml)
- Coarsely crushed multi-grain cereal: 2 cups (500 ml)
- Vegetable oil: 1 tbsp (15 ml)
- Slices whole wheat bread
Utensils

- Non-stick skillet
- 2 shallow bowls
Directions
- Whisk the eggs, milk, maple syrup, cinnamon, and ginger in a shallow bowl. Place the cereal in a separate shallow bowl.
- Set a nonstick skillet over medium heat. Brush with a little oil. Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture; turn to moisten both sides. Coat wet bread in the cereal to coat lightly. Sprinkle additional cereal over any bald patches.
- Cook in batches for 3 to 4 minutes per side or until crisp and golden, brushing the skillet with oil as needed.
- Serve with applesauce and a glass of milk to balance the meal.
